This elegant Edwardian Hotel in Newtonmore is located at the heart of the Scottish Highlands, the magnificent setting for the popular BBC series, 'Monarch of the Glen' which was filmed only a few miles away.

Quite apart from the breath taking scenery, lovers of outdoor pursuits are spoiled for choice the Monadhliath & Cairngorm Mountain Ranges lie nearby golfers can enjoy the diverse challenges at Newtonmore, Kingussie, Grantown-on-Spey & Boat of Garten and opportunities for walking, cycling, fishing and other activities are just too numerous to mention.

The Hotel has a fantastic reputation for high quality accommodation and exceptional food and dining options.

We are currently open for dinner six nights per week (closed Sunday). Lunches are available for groups of 12 or more by appointment. Coach parties catered for.

Book direct and not only save money but benefit from the following enhancements. *Preferential room allocation, *early check in and late check out (subject to availability), *guaranteed off street parking, *complimentary mineral water in room on arrival, *locked bicycle parking (if required) and much, much more. These enhancements are not available for bookings made through online travel agents or will attract a charge.

We are sorry but we currently have to close the public areas of the hotel on a Sunday due to staffing shortages. Breakfast on the Sunday morning is unaffected. Accommodation is still available through this website on a 'room only' basis on a Sunday night at a much reduced rate. Meals & bar facilities are available locally. There are great offers available for Sunday stays if booking Saturdays or Mondays - these will be shown on the bookings page. Thank you.

Excellent small hotel
Stayed at the Glen for 5 nights just after Christmas and stayed for New Years Celebrations.Room was perfect huge bed , very clean , bathroom very very clean lots of lovely fluffy towels. The staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble for them , I would describe recommend this hotel if you y
